Chemwatch FFX Gold General Wet Lab User Guide

Chemwatch is an online chemical management system database The Chemwatch database allows the user to develop and maintain chemical manifests, search manufacturer or Chemwatch MSDS, print labels, obtain emergency response information and determine the hazards posed by the chemical. What is Chemwatch?

Features of Chemwatch Features of the Chemwatch database include: Inventory of MSDS Storage of the manufacturers/suppliers/vendors original MSDS Chemical Inventory for each Research Group Generated reports e.g. poisons, Dangerous Goods Information on chemical labelling and placarding Classification of chemicals – Hazardous Substance, Dangerous Good, Controlled Substance Warnings on chemical incompatibilities and where segregation may be required

Benefits of using Chemwatch Reduces workload by providing and maintaining up to date manufacturer/supplier/vendor MSDS along with Chemwatch independent versions Provides access to continually updated and maintained information for more than 6 million chemicals Assists in ensuring the safe use and handling of chemicals at MCRI while meeting compliance obligations

Chemwatch FFX Gold - Training Outcome Access an MSDS for a specific chemical Locate the emergency response information for a specific chemical Locate the Chemwatch hazard level information Print labels for chemicals

Accessing Chemwatch Chemwatch access via MCRI’s Intranet under the ‘Quick Links’ tab. No login details are required.

Chemwatch Home Screen

Navigating the Home Screen Vendors MSDS (Supplier or Manufacturer) Material box Mini MSDS Labels GOLD MSDS (Chemwatch Independent) Vendor box
