Reconciliation  We are separated from God because of our sin.  We have no way to get back to God on our own.  Reconciled means “to make one.”  This term is used for the broken relationship between ourselves and God.  Because of our sin, we are separated from God.  The glory of the Gospel is that God comes to make us one with Him. Redemption  A commercial term used in the language of the slave market.  The definition can be translated to “purchase” or “buy out of.”  The focus is on the slave market.  The root word means “price of a slave.”  Jesus uses it when He says that He came to give His life as a ransom for many.  We are Gomer in the book of Hosea.
