Romans 1:16-17 (ESV) 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
3
Romans 3:10-12 (ESV) 10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Reconciliation We are separated from God because of our sin. We have no way to get back to God on our own. Reconciled means “to make one.” This term is used for the broken relationship between ourselves and God. Because of our sin, we are separated from God. The glory of the Gospel is that God comes to make us one with Him. God’s Righteousness Revealed Romans 3:21-26

2 Corinthians 5:16-19 (ESV) 16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Sacrifice All who live are sinners. Sin separates us from God and results in death. Physical death separates our soul and spirit from the body. Spiritual death separates our soul and spirit from God. God’s Righteousness Revealed Romans 3:21-26
8
Sacrifice This is what we deserve as a consequence of our sin. Jesus took that death to Himself by His sacrifice. Jesus became our substitute by experiencing both physical and spiritual death in our place. God’s Righteousness Revealed Romans 3:21-26

Justified A legal term used in the language of the courtroom. The definition can be translated to acquit or “to be declared upright.” It does not suggest innocence of all charges.
