Bryant Tober

Problem Description  View the sound wave produced from a wav file  Apply different modulations to the wave file  Hear the effect of the various modulations and view how the sound wave is affected

File Input  Use the “Load File”  Must be a.wav file type

Filters  GUI features a low and high filter  Low – suppresses values higher than the value specified  High – suppresses values lower than the value specified

Other modulations  User can select to play the wav file backwards  User can also select a play speed  User can reduce speed up to 2.5 times and increase speed up to 2 time

Click on “Load File” to select file to input “Play”, “Pause”, “Stop”, “Resume” Apply filters Speed multipler?

Play Backwards? “Play”, “Pause”, “Stop”, “Resume” Repeat

Applications  Could be applied to other forms of wave data such as Brain waves  Analyzing recordings from various animals  Selection for certain frequencies of sound

Challenges  Learning Matlab audio processing  Plotting the correct filter  Play, Pause, etc.  Upper and lower ranged filter

Future Work  Upper and lower ranged filter  Comparing multiple wave signals  Adjusting code to compensate for pitch changes as a result of changes in speed
