Pink Floyd Had a number of different members over time, but the ones who were with the band when they hit it big were: Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright David Gilmour Known for a while as “The Pink Floyd Sound”

Pink Floyd Name came from first names of two blues musicians: Pink Anderson and Floyd Council Began recording in the late 1960’s 1973 – Released Dark Side of the Moon - biggest success - a hit in Europe and the U.S.

Lynyrd Skynyrd American Southern Rock Band Formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 Three friends, Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins and Gary Rossington had a band; Later joined by Larry Junstrom and Bob Burns. Had several different line-ups over the years.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Originally named Leonard Skinnerd – a mock tribute to their PE teacher at Robert E. Lee High School who was known for enforcing rules against long hair. Changed the spelling before they released their first album probably for fear of lawsuits

Lynyrd Skynyrd Toured the bar band scene in the South for several years. 1972 – they were “discovered” by Al Kooper the producer for Blood, Sweat and Tears Signed with MCA Records and recorded their first album Toured with The Who in 1973

Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974 – Released Second Helping Their most successful album Featured Sweet Home Alabama 1977 – Three days after the release of their third studio album, the band’s plane ran out of fuel and crashed near Gillsburg, Mississippi.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, Cassie Gaines and one of their managers as well as both pilots were killed. The band stopped touring. Ultimately reformed in 1987 but with a very different lineup.

Aerosmith American hard rock band Sometimes referred to as the “Bad Boys from Boston” Formed in Boston in 1970. Most well-known members are Steven Tyler (lead singer) and Joe Perry (lead guitar)

Aerosmith Tyler and Perry were known as “the toxic twins” because of their drug abuse on and off stage. 1979 – Perry quit the band Came back in 1984 Group continued to record and tour successfully through the early 2000’s.
