1. Literacy Workshop Year 1

2. The mums and dads arrived for our Literacy Workshop.

3. Mrs Turner gave a letter to each child so they could play the Full Circle Game. Can you see what word Robert, Lewis, Callum and Chloe have made?

4. Mrs Laverack asked this group if they could make a word with the ‘sh’ sound. What word has Jessica made?

5. We made words with the ‘sh’ sound at the beginning and end of words. What words can you see? Who is having a turn?

6. Chloe, Adam, Kelly, Jack and Ryan made a human sentence.

7. We wrote a sentence on our whiteboards. Mrs Turner is reading Adam’s. I wonder what he said?

8. We showed our sentences to the mums and dads. Some people managed to draw a picture as well.

9. Mrs Seyburn came to do some shared reading with us. We read some poems from the Splishes and Sploshes poetry book.

10. We listened and looked very carefully to see how many words we could find with the ‘sh’ sound.

11. Here is a picture of all the parents. Who can you see?

12. Mrs Seyburn put some acetate over the poem called Galoshes and we had to find all the words that had the ‘sh’ sound in them. Who is having their turn?
