This World Lives Because Theme: the virtues of having no anger and not striving for oneself make the world exist First stanza: not eating alone symbol for charity Symbol: ambrosia symbolizes great riches, wealth, fortune Second stanza: do not dwell on fear for themselves/do not get angry for selfish reasons; forgive Third Stanza: sacrifice lives for honor and do not commit actions for greed or indirect evil; brave

This World Lives Because Fourth Stanza: their hearts are bright because they are selfless Honorable men/women are the people who make this world “good” because of their selflessness and charity Symbol: honorable men/women represent all that is good in the world

Children Theme: People would have nothing in life without children Stanza One: Even if a person is wealthy with materialistic possessions and is charitable, this person will have nothing without children Children: messy, annoying, destructive Children overcome reason (logic) with love

Children Even though children are messy and annoying, they are most rewarding Without children, a person has nothing Children teach people about love, pass down values Symbol: Children Represent life, love, compassion, wealth, meaning of life Children represent the important things of life that go beyond money, charity, intellectual achievements, etc.
