Single issues such as the economy Can determine each election. If there is neither economic confidence or competence then the election is lost

WJEC EXAM QUESTIONS GP1 - Participation and Voting Behaviour The 25 mark essay questions so far have been about 1)Is the factor mentioned the most important in determining voting behaviour - define the factor mentioned, state how it is important, state other factors that are important in determining voting, come up with a view as to which is more important and give evidence and examples 2)Why don’t people vote, to what extent has voter turnout fallen (in many elections but Scottish referendum produced a post war electoral high), how have their been attempts to improve it? Postal voting, different electoral systems, lowering the voting age, if the election matters it improves turnout or people feel it’s important then they vote, has individual voting registration lowered those on the electoral role?
