 The area of focus consists of teachers creating an environment to help express how children learn through play.  The purpose of this study is to educate families on how play is a learning tool.  Implement activities for parents to teach their child through play.

 Parents don't believe play is the way children learn.

 Shy child may not want to play  A child with behavioral issue may interrupt other children from playing  Family involved with child during play time improves the relationship bond.  Strict parents that don’t like to play, don’t understand how children learn through play.

 What are the best ways to convey to parents that there are academic values to play?

 The researcher used her professionalism to g in insightful information to use to help the  The teachers influence parents by encouraging them to try and used what was a taught from the teacher.  In reading chapter 7 Mills (2014) he states the goal is to evolve to the point where action and research become a part of your professional life, but not at the expense of energy that you need to be vital, creative in your daily teaching.

 Explain to parents the importance of classroom volunteering  Parents that are teachers are encourage to come to their class and do a activity  Teachers provide material to help assist parents with identifying how play is a learning tool.

 Teacher-implement activities, and lesson plans to teach students  Parent- care and nurture child, provide best for their child  Student-play, learn, interact with other student.  In reading Thomas, Warren (2011)Teachers' talk of how they engaged in the interplay between children's play and the use of intentional teaching practices to introduce mathematics concepts formed the data set to be analyzed. Conversational interviews and stimulated recall were used to gather data.

 Collaborate with educators to gain better outcomes.  Gain agreement from parents that they will be begin to partake in their child’s education.  According to Undiyaundeye(2013) Play changes young children's experience and substantially affect their development and learning especially when intervention starts early in life and not a breed-ganged set of strategies.

 Protecting the parents rights in their child's education.  Protecting the children's rights in the classroom, allowing them to play freely and safely  According to Drew, Christie (2008) This article proposes to reconcile constructive play with the standards movement. The authors present three key principles, derived from their own experiences, that explain why developmentally appropriate constructive play is an ideal instructional strategy for meeting early learning standards.

 Parent teachers are welcome to visit any time.  Ask parents for availability schedule to volunteer in the classroom.  According to Pui-Wah (2012)For centuries, educators and psychologists have advocated "play" as the ideal activity for the development of young children. Actually, play has been found currently to be the central pedagogy in the learning of young children in 21 countries in the world.

 Provide pictures of children starting a task and then finishing the task.  The are several resources teachers can provide to help parents gain a better understanding as to why play is a learning tool. For example the children's school work this shows progress.  Use observations, this shows the evidence of what teacher saw child learning.

 qualitative  -observation  teacher expresses to parents her view on how children learn through play.  -anecdotal notes  explain how the children reacts to one another during play.  quantitative  -questionnaire  ask parents to complete form with questions on how play is a learning tool, and add their opinion. invite parents to view video recording of children participating in activity that shows them enjoying theirselves and learning.

 This action research plan is about how play is used as a learning tool for children. Play helps children learn their fine and gross motor skills.  My professional interest in using play as a learning tool consist of observing the children during play time, and viewing what new skills they have learned and what skills they need help with.

 My personal interest in using play as a learning tool help me obtain the knowledge needed to help teach my children.  The research question helps the reader to start a useful search to gain a better understanding of the topic.  Research question  What are the best ways to convey to parents that there are academic values to play?

 This is a brief review of literature related to topic  http://search.ebscohost.com.proxy- library.ashford.edu/login.aspx?direct=true&db=edb&A N=90254036&site=eds-live  Undiyaundeye, F. A. (2013). How Children Learn Through Play. Journal Of Emerging Trends In Educational Research & Policy Studies, 4(3), 514.  According to Undiyaundeye(2013) Play changes young children's experience and substantially affect their development and learning especially when intervention starts early in life and not a breed-ganged set of strategies.

 In selecting the participants the best individuals that would be able to express point in learning how to use learning as a educational tool. The teacher is going to implement the lesson children will play to show what they learned, parent can observe to see how play is a learning tool.  Quantitative focus consists of observation, anecdotal notes.  Qualitative focus on questionnaires, video recording

 The steps that went into performing the data analysis consists the teacher observing the children learning through play. The teacher writing anecdotal notes for the student to see how they are improving. The teacher can video record using camcorder, on a specific activity, to show parents how their child learned through play. Ask parents to fill out a questionnaire about children learning through play.

 In writing this conclusion outcome is foreseen as parents having better understanding as to how play is a important learning tool for their children. The impact that teachers have on parents will consist of parents gaining the knowledge needed to help teach their child.

 According to Broadhead (2006)The research has led to the development of an observation-interpretation tool—the Social Play Continuum. The Continuum, a tool to support the formative dimensions of observation, details progression in learning whilst the broader research has illustrated factors impacting on progression.
