A reflexive verb is a verb that is accompanied by a pronoun that reflects the action of the verb back to the subject. E.g. I wash myself In English the reflexive pronoun ends with self. e.g. I wash myself You wash yourself He washes himself We wash ourselves You wash yourselves They wash themselves As the subject changes so does the pronoun Reflexive verb

Just like in English, reflexive verbs, Les verbes pronominaux, in French are formed with a verb and a reflexive pronoun. The French reflexive pronouns are: Je = me Tu = te Il/elle/on = se Nous = nous Vous = vous Ils/elles = se

Let’s try to form a sentence with a reflexive verb. In English one reflexive sentence is: I wash myself How could this work in French using the reflexive verb: se laver? Je me lave
