Our successes 87% of our students who wanted to go to University did so Other students took exciting Higher Level Apprenticeships and went straight into employment with training.

What’s happened so far…. Talks from School Leaver’s programme Apprenticeship providers and ex-students University of Surrey Uxbridge College – Foundation degrees and BTechs ULAS – a website offering interactive support for all students in researching their goals

This term… Focus on University applications due to the deadlines to be met – Oxbridge, Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Veterinary 15 th Oct, Personal Statements/Letters of application/CV ULAS Careers fair 2.15 to 8pm Thurs 19 th Nov

Our Monitoring Predicted grades given to students now. Individual Tutorials on UCAS and beyond with form teachers 20 th November – staff review all students especially those on probation 10 th December - Yr 13 Parents Evening 4 th Jan Mock Exam Week 28 th Jan – Reports available on Parent Portal 21 st March – Mock Exam week May/June - Exams

University Applications – What should my child be doing now? Personal Statement Sign up for relevant tests – TSA,BMAT, LNAT, etc. Personal record sheets and Community service documents to form tutor. Complete the application form on-line ‘Pay and send’ Hard copy to the office to activate reference writing – 23 rd October

Creative thinking Given the changing situation in relation to the costs of higher education in the UK Degrees taught in English in Europe and in the USA. Many universities offer part time study for HE courses or distance learning which you could combine with working, voluntary work, etc. Bursaries and one-off payments Sponsorship schemes for higher education offered within the UK

Requirements: Applicants must have an ABB at A-level or equivalent. There is no need to have studied Business, Finance or Accountancy to join. You will however need to have achieved a Grade B in Maths and English at GCSE. If you're bright and ambitious our new School Leavers' Programme is a compelling way to achieve a University Degree with a fully paid salary. KPMG's new 6 year programme offers the opportunity to gain an Accountancy degree with honours at either Durham or Exeter University There are no tuition fees to pay and you will earn a starting salary of around £20k (in London). Other things Parent Portal VLE – fronter ALL students MUST attend Monday morning registration and Friday lesson 2 Attend registration on days they have first lesson Wear full school uniform Absence notes Code of Conduct

Other things Students thinking of doing a science-associated degree… Sheppard Case Award 16-19 Bursary Fund – must apply each year – deadline 25 th Sept – but can still apply if circumstances change.
