KUNG FU PUNCTUATION YEAR 3 RED BELT based on Ros Wilson’s work.
Précis from Write on Target Refer to the punctuation pyramid and make sure children know what they should be using at their level. Teach the children the physical actions for the signs. Read out first sentence. Give children 10 secs to work out punctuation then ask children for first punctuation (action + “HUH!”) etc. The PowerPoint will put in the punctuation as you click so you can see what their action would produce. Signs needing 2 actions e.g. ? need “HUH! HUH!” as they do the two actions.
