2. Reading task Background: “Medical cloning” is a medical cure using cells from an embryo to cure very serious illnesses. The idea is to take healthy cells from a patient and create copies that can be used to repair damaged or diseased parts of the patient. In theory, medical cloning will be very useful for curing patients but a large amount of research is organized by the government and is strictly controlled.
