2 thefts are considered to be cyber crimes when the illegal activities are committed through the use of a computer and the Internet.

3 Types of Cyber Crime 1. Theft of telecommunications services; 2. Communications in furtherance of criminal conspiracies; 3. Telecommunications piracy; 4. Dissemination of offensive materials; 5. Electronic money laundering and tax evasion;

4 6. Electronic vandalism, terrorism and extortion; 7. Sales and investment fraud; 8. Illegal interception of telecommunications; 9. Electronic funds transfer fraud;

10 Being blackmailed, bullied and physically assaulted. The video went viral after her death, resulting in international media attention. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and British Columbia Coroners Service launched

11 investigations into the suicide. At the time of her death, Todd was a grade 10 student at CABE Secondary in Coquitlam, a school that caters to students who have experienced social and behavior issues

12 in previous educational settings. In response to the death, Christy Clark, the Premier of British Columbia, made an online statement of condolence and suggested a national discussion on criminalizing cyber bullying. Also, a motion

13 was introduced in the Canadian House of Commons to propose a study of the scope of bullying in Canada, and for more funding and support for anti-bullying organizations. Todd's mother Carol established the Amanda Todd

14 Trust, receiving donations to support anti- bullying awareness education and programs for young people with mental health problems. On October 10, 2012, at about6:00 PM (PDT), Todd was found hanged at her home.
