WHAT HAVE I LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY FROM THIS PRODUCTION?
2
WHAT TECHNOLOGY DID I USE? During the production of my opening sequence I used different forms of technology. Firstly I used a DSLR camera to record the footage, I was able to create a clear video footage with this camera. I also used a tripod which helped me to get the camera into good and secure positions, this helped me to get different shot types for my video.

WHAT TECHNOLOGY DID I USE? Once I had finished recording, I uploaded my footage onto a mac and imported it onto Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. Premiere helped me to put my video together, it allowed me to easily combine my clips together and add the copy right free sounds and music, the sounds were from www.freesound.org and the music were from www.bensound.com

WHAT TECHNICAL CHALLENGES DID I FACE? When I was recording my footage I was faced with the challenge of recording myself with no one else's help, some of the shots which I recorded required me to be at home. This was hard because it meant that I had to get everything in position and start recording by myself, this proved to be difficult and it took many attempts to get them correct, but in the end I managed to get the footage I needed.

WHAT TECHNICAL CHALLENGES DID I FACE? Another challenge that I faced was the length of my footage. When I started to record the split screen scenes I recorded one half of the scenes before the other. This meant that I needed to get the other half of the footage to around a similar length of time. For example. In the picture to the right it shows a shot in my opening scene, the right hand side of the split screen was 6 seconds long, so I had to try and make the shot on the left hand side only last around 6 seconds. This was difficult because it meant that the shots had to be adapted in order for them to work.

WHAT DID I LEARN FROM THESE CHALLENGES? From facing these challenges I have learnt how it can be difficult when linking two shots together, but it has taught me how it is important to plan the shots before hand, because if I would have not planned them like I did with my story board then I would not have been able to get the shots like did, my video may have been completely different if I had not planned the shots. I think the clips would not have worked well together if they were not planned. I also have learned how it can be difficult when filming myself with no one else. It took a lot of time but I managed to get them recorded in the end. It has taught me that next time I would make sure I had someone else recording with me.
