The aim of i3i Interoperability activity so far has provided: Clear road map and identification of issues. Increased recognition across the sector that interoperability is required to grow the market. Appetite from suppliers to tackle this in a way that does not disproportionately disadvantage groups of suppliers. Requirement for dallas communities to tackle interoperability on a practical basis. Using this framework i-focus and i3i will start building consensus on interoperability priorities for the dallas communities I3i aims to harness the impetus from industry and initiatives such as 3ML to tackle interoperability barriers within a commercially relevant timescale. The decision making structure of this sector led organisation will be shaped to support SME and large organisations. Providing a lean decision making and consensus building mechanism will reduce the ‘heavy lifting’ to be undertaken by dallas communities

I3i – why get involved I3i will provide communities with a transparent governance structure by which technical solutions can be adopted across dallas and wider. The development of freely-available, vendor-agnostic architectural and technical solutions for interoperability enables the development of complex and flexible business models suited to large scale services. Proprietary based services will not be sustainable in the longer term as more and more services become interoperable. All stakeholders should be participating in the requirements setting and the technical architecture processes in order to understand and influence the future market for their own business. Engaging in the process of developing the i3i membership organisation will also enable you to meet key partners for growth.
