Dear Miss Dobbins, I hope you are well. I am writing to thank you for your support over the last year, and to inform you about how year seven is going. Firstly, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your effort, patience, and care. You made year six a memorable and unforgettable experience for me; I will treasure these memories for many years to come. Secondly, I want to write to you to tell you how different year seven is from year six. Unlike year six, in year seven we have many more responsibilities and are expected to change classrooms for each subject. Moreover, our heavy bags – which may as well be filled with stones – have to be carried around all day. Can you imagine going all the way from the basement to the roof with these rocky bags? However, despite these drawbacks, I am enjoying year seven. I have a wide range of kind and fun teachers that make my subjects interesting. English is my favourite subject, as I can express my opinions and debate ideas with other students. It reminds me of Golden Time, which I miss the most from year six, as it holds a special place in my heart. I feel as though the future will be full of excitement and adventure, as I learn to crawl my way up the secondary ladder. Once again, I thank you for all your effort and wish you a successful year with your new year six class, even though I am sure they will not live up to our legacy. Yours sincerely, Alaa Abbas
