SEAMEO Centres Capabilities Many SEAMEO Centres have capabilities in conducting such a programme or activity in respond to the Priority # 3 of SEAMEO 7 Priorities (2015-2035). SEAMEO INNOTECH in partnership with SEAMEO RECSAM has developed a Toolkit on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, while SEAMEO RECSAM has produced a guidebook on integrating climate change in basic education curriculum. SEAQIM has developed models on integrating DRR into mathematics teaching and learning. SEAQIS has conducted training on IBSE related to disaster risk reduction. Meanwhile, BIOTROP is rich with its life skills programme which is relevant to DRR programme. Proposed Activities Survey on the integration of DRR in the curriculum and DRR priority of themes Workshop on strategies for the integration of DRR in the curriculum (for Ministry officials, possibly under the Teacher Education Network) Training for teachers on the use of SEA EDRR Modules Dissemination of the SEA EDRR Module and best practices Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 4 Workshop on developing SEA EDRR Modules Phase 3

Phase 1 Survey on the integration of DRR in the curriculum and DRR priority of themes Workshop on strategies for the integration of DRR in the curriculum (for Ministry officials, possibly under the Teacher Education Network) Training for teachers on the use of SEA EDRR Modules Dissemination of the SEA EDRR Module and best practices Workshop on developing SEA EDRR Modules A survey will be given to selected teachers and officials in each SEAMEO member country, supported by other SEAMEO Centres The survey will obtain feedback on: 1.Current condition of the integration of DRR in the curriculum 2.Challenges to be faced 3.Strategies for integration 4.Country specific priority themes and models

Phase 2 Survey on the integration of DRR in the curriculum and DRR priority of themes Workshop on strategies for the integration of DRR in the curriculum (for Ministry officials, possibly under the Teacher Education Network) Training for teachers on the use of SEA EDRR Modules Dissemination of the SEA EDRR Module and best practices Workshop on developing SEA EDRR Modules SEAQiM proposes a Workshop to plan strategies for the integration of DRR in the curriculum to be conducted under the Teacher Education Network or Policy Research Network. The workshop will pave the way for the integration of DRR in the SEA curriculum. SEAQIM will lead the Workshop on developing SEA EDRR Modules to be held in Yogyakarta. Other Centres concerned will be invited on cost sharing basis These two workshops could be conducted either back-to-back or separately
