The Legislative Branch: Congress Congress: House of Representatives and Senate House of Representatives (2-year terms) 25 years old citizen for 7 years must live in state represented Senate (6-year terms) 30 years old citizen for 9 years must live in state represented 435 H.R. 2 years 100 Senate 6 years
