1  Describe an example of US Imperialism and explain how the US became involved with that region or country.  Example- Hawaii- US sugar growers wanted to avoid a tariff that was cutting into their profits. The sugar growers staged an uprising, Marines came in and the US claimed Hawaii.  You can not use Hawaii for your example

5  You will be given a country that had relations with the US and create 2 metaphor statements that describe the perspective of the US and the perspective of the other nation  You will create a visual for each metaphor  Write 3 phrases or sentences that explain how the metaphor represents US foreign policy from the perspective of the US and the country or region  You will give a short presentation that explains your metaphor and why you wrote it
