Lecoq CERN 3 October 2010 Physics & Technology at CERN, Bogota, October 20-22, 2010 CERIMED in a few dates 2002: CERIMED Concept developed at CERN 2003: Recognized and supported as an important component of the Cancer Plan by the French Ministry of Health 2005: the Université de la Méditerranée in Marseille receives the mandate to build CERIMED 2007: 23 M€ Funding raised (OPTITEC Competitivity cluster) –French central government –Regional government –EU infrastructure funds 2008-2009: 7M€ additionnal equipment –July 2008: agreement with Canada for a high power femtosecond laser –July 2009: contract with Advanced Accelerator Applications for 2 cyclotrons and 3 radiopharmaceutical labs Mid 2012: Scheduled delivery of the CERIMED infrastructure
