congenial (adj): pleasant; agreeable Synonyms: cooperative, sympathetic, delightful Antonyms: disagreeable, unfriendly The woman was so congenial that I happily donated to her charity.

compulsion (n): an irresistible urge; a force that makes somebody do something Synonyms: demand, obsession Antonyms: independence, free will The compulsion to eat the last cookie was too strong to resist.

emanate (v): to flow or send out; to emit Synonyms: derive, radiate Antonyms: take, withdraw The smell of garlic emanated from the dish my mother set on the kitchen table.

façade (n): 1. any side of a building facing a public way (usually the front) 2. a superficial appearance of illusion of something. Synonyms: 2. disguise, false front, show Antonyms: 2. character, personality 1. The façade of the old home was covered in mud from the hurricane. 2. The jealous man smiled at his friend, but it was only a façade.

tantalizing (adj): tempting, yet unavailable or unobtainable Synonyms: fascinating, taunting, tormenting, teasing Antonyms: disenchanting, uninviting The car was beautiful and tantalizing, but it was way too expensive.
