This side event is based on the findings from “2016 CRPD ICT Accessibility Report and SDG Survey of Countries' Readiness and Preparedness” Guiding Questions:  Where do we stand on implementation of CRPD’s ICT and AT accessibility provisions?  Are people with disabilities meaningfully involved in monitoring and reporting on their countries' implementation of the CRPD?  Are countries ready and prepared to meaningfully include people with disabilities in monitoring and reporting on implementation of 2030 Agenda? Data and information in 2016 CRPD ICT Accessibility Report (4 th edition) from:  2 sets of surveys: 1 set for legal experts; 1 set for accessibility experts  survey questions mapped to specific CRPD ICT and AT Accessibility provisions  additional questions mapped to 2030 Agenda key Goals, Targets and Indicators  surveys completed by 111 local correspondents  in 104 countries: 89 countries from Global South; 15 countries from Global North  representing 62% of global population  data collection completed in cooperation with Disabled People’s International and local DPOs and experts Harmonizing CRPD Obligations and the 2030 SDG Action Agenda 4

9. How can ongoing CRPD implementation be designed so that it can both support and draw strength from the wider U.N. reform – i.e., 2030 Agenda? What do we mean by harmonization or convergence of the CRPD and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development? How might it be done? What is process? Where do we stand in terms of private business sector involvement of CRPD implementation? How do we harmonize that with 2030 Agenda? How do we harmonize ongoing CRPD implementation with 2030 Agenda in: (a) Education?; (b) Voting?; (c ) Employment?; (d) Judicial and legal proceedings? How can people with disabilities be more meaningfully involved in monitoring and reporting on CRPD and 2030 Agenda implementation in their countries?
