Housing Housing – is any structure built for people to live in. Three Basic Types of Housing: 1. Natural Shelters – caves 2. Portable Shelters - nomads 3. Permanent Shelters – good soil and water supply

Housing Archaeologists - scientists who study history through the relics and remains of old civilizations. Nomads – people who wander from place to place in search for food for their grazing herds.

Housing to Fit Human Needs Housing is designed to fulfill both physical and psychological needs.

Housing to Fit Human Needs Physical Needs - include all the things the body needs to survive: air, sunlight, shelter, sleep and food. –Shelter – protection from nature –Food - prep and place to eat –Safety and Security – locks, fences, neighbors
