14. The Lunch Badge System The Plan: 2015-2016 Last year, the Student Council raised funds with numerous events such as, Pancake Day stall, Sports Day stall and Cake sales. This money raised was aiming for something which as students you wanted to change. You voted to change the lunch band to a badge. This has now been implemented. All students should now have their badge sewn onto their blazer underneath their house badge. For any reason this badge is lost, please see Mr Holt with £1 to buy a new one. Depending upon your year will depend the colour of your badge. This colour of badge will stay with you from y7 – y11.

15. Maun Valley Citizen Update The Plan: 2015-2016 On November 17 th seven members of the students council attended the Maun Valley Citizen Discerning Assembly 2015. At this meeting it was decided what would be the focus and objectives for the forth- coming year. For those of you who don’t know, Maun Valley Citizens is a sister organisation of Citizens UK. It was set up in the hope of giving the people of Mansfield a voice. It also has a say on the policies that affect the people of Mansfield. For those of you who don’t know, Maun Valley Citizens is a sister organisation of Citizens UK. It was set up in the hope of giving the people of Mansfield a voice. It also has a say on the policies that affect the people of Mansfield. All the students agreed that it was a very interesting evening, experiencing all groups of people meeting together to discuss priority concerns in the Mansfield, Ashfield and Teversal areas.

16. Maun Valley Citizen Update The Plan: 2015-2016 In September we conducted a “Listening Campaign” to see what you, the students of All Saints’ wanted to change in our local area. We fed back to Maun Valley Citizens the following points: Lighting in darker areas outside school, especially in the winter. CCTV in those same areas. Bring back the Lollipop men/women to improve safety around our schools. Build relationships with the Queen Elizabeth School to improve anti-social behaviour at the Chesterfield Road bus stop. Could this be with wardens and PCSO’s. Improve advertisement and opportunities of apprenticeships for young people. As the Student Council and a school, we have joined a team which will promote “Jobs and Apprenticeships for Young People”. Being part of the Maun Valley Citizens some of the above will be implemented – We will keep you updated.

17. Maun Valley Citizen Update The Plan: 2015-2016 The following has been implemented from 2014-2015 which affect you: Commitment from the Mayor and Mansfield 2020 business alliance to work together towards having more internship opportunities' for young people in Mansfield. 20mph speed limits outside schools in Mansfield rolling out over the coming year – a campaign spearheaded by St Philip Neri and High Oakham School Councils.
