45 Data Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS)

46 Definition A strategy intended to reduce crime and traffic crashes. By targeting traffic enforcement in areas of high crime and traffic crashes, harm is reduced.

47 Summary of Findings There was a reduction in part 1 offenses by 62% in the first 2 months of the DDACTS initiative. – This could suggest that the DDACTS initiative in the targeted area had a positive effect. There was a reduction in part 1 offenses by 43% when comparing August/September to October/November.
