1 IEEE 802. 15-10-0770-00-0006 Submission Kiran Bynam, Samsung Electronics Slide 1 Project: IEEE P802.15 Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) Submission Title: [Resolution for comments on chaotic waveform] Date Submitted: [September 2010] Source: [Kiran Bynam] Company [Samsung Electronics] Address [Bagmane Tech Park, Block-B, Bangalore, India] Voice:[+91-80-41819999], FAX: [+91-80-41819000], E-Mail:[kiran.bynam@samsung.com] Re: [Proposed Resolution of D0 Comment S10-491] Abstract:[Comment resolution] Purpose:[To change the text and euqations as per the IEEE normative text policies] Notice:This document has been prepared to assist the IEEE P802.15. 2 IEEE 802. 15-10-0770-00-0006 Submission Kiran Bynam, Samsung Electronics Slide 2 Proposed Resolution of D0 Comment S10-410, 558, 559, 618, 641, 200,318, 402 Kiran Bynam September, 2010

3 IEEE 802. 15-10-0770-00-0006 Submission Kiran Bynam, Samsung Electronics Slide 3 D0 Comment Comments: –S10-410 : 10.15.3 Chaotic pulse waveform. There are no equations to generate the waveforms, thus this text cannot be normative –S10-558 : Figure depicting chaotic pulse for different values of T_w under the standard mask is lacking. Furthermore, having analytical chaotic pulse waveform description can be beneficial, especially for simulations. –S10-559 :Chaotic pulse envelope rise and fall times are undefined. –S10-618 : 10.15.3 Chaotic pulse waveform. There are no equations to generate the waveforms, thus this text cannot be normative –S10-641 :Section describing the chaotic pulse waveform is not explicitely clear and would benefit from equations specifying the waveform of the VCO input and/or output. Use of the terms "concatenation" and "summation" seem to be used interchangeably but are not quite the same thing –S10-200,318, 402 : Chaotic pulse waveform is not specified in detail. September, 2010
