You need to know why certain areas are classified as certain types of landscapes.

5. Vocabulary
Landscape: A region on Earth’s surface in which distinct physical features set them apart from one another.
Landforms: features on the Earth’s surface such as hills, mountains, streams, etc.

6. Mountain
A landform that rises at least 300 meters (984 ft) from the Earth’s surface in the form of a peak, and has steep sides. It has undergone deformation (folding and twisting of rock).

A landform made up of large areas of flat land at high elevations.
