Is contact information available? Telephone number, email, or mailing address Is the website biased? Bias- a prejudice for or against something Is it an opinion? CHECK IT

Top-level domain- the letters that appear after the “dot” (.com,.org…) .gov- government-related .edu- educational institutions, usually from universities .org- organizational CREDIBLE URLS

Citation- each entry in a bibliography MLA- Modern Language Association, a format used to cite sources Works Cited Page- MLA style bibliography page In-text citation – citing the source within your paper CITATIONS

Plagiarize- the act of taking someone else’s work and presenting it as your own It’s considered plagiarizing if you: Use a source’s exact words/ change a few words “Borrow” the structure Present a source’s ideas as your own Plagiarism Plagiarism HELPFUL RESEARCH TIPS
