1 INTRODUCTION FINANCIALS PRODUCTS & SERVICES EXPERIENCE TRADE NEW CONCLUSION YOUR PRESENTATION CREATING A MODULAR PRESENTATION One way to ensure presentations stay on message is to create a modular presentation from which employees can select slides relevant to the event. Rather than cut and pasting slides why not create a master presentation with a drop down list that allows the presenter to jump to sections in any order. It is still possible to hide individual slides within each module to adjust the length of the presentation or add additional slides that are only relevant to a particular customer. In this way you can include financial information for one audience, product information for another and distributor information when talking to the trade. HOW IT WORKS If you view the master slide you will see a list of headings each of which is hyperlinked to the ‘start’ slide for individual sections. This can be hidden from view by using a inconspicuous button which when clicked triggers a drop down list. Only the button is in view on each slide but the presenter can display the drop down list and jump to and from sections to suit his/her needs. You can add a generic ‘new’ link on the list that jumps to a start slide for a new section where you can create slides that are just relevant to a customer or presentation. You need to have something like an end of section slide remind the presenter to either choose a new section from the drop down list or if relevant simply move onto the next section. You can for example disable the mouse click on the last section slide so the presenter has to go to the drop down list but unfortunately this does not disable the arrow keys and many people prefer to use the right arrow to advance their slide.
