The Golden Ring of Russia - Suzdal Russia's Golden Ring is the name of 700- kilometre-long bus route beginning and finishing in Moscow and passing through the old Russian towns rich in historical and architectural landmarks.

9th -10th centuries - setting of a town on the territory of Finno-Ugric settlements. 1024 - first mention of the town in St. Lawrence's Chronicle in connection with the peasants' revolt led by the Magi. 1967 - adopted the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on creation of a tourist center in Suzdal. 1983 - Suzdal is awarded with a special prize "Golden Apple" of the International Federation of Journalists writing about tourism. "A falcon in the prince's crown on a double-colored field: red at the bottom and blue at the top." Approved by the authorities on August 16,1781.

Redeemer Monastery of St. Euphimius The groundwork of the Redeemer Monastery of St. Euphimius was laid in the mid-14th century by commission of the prince of Nizhni Novgorod. The monastery protected the northern territories of the Suzdal-Nizhny Novgorod principality and served as its citadel. Affiliation of Vladimir-Suzdalian Museum The Museum is an affiliation of the State United Vladimir-Suzdalian Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve. It is located on the kremlin grounds and was founded in 1958 on the base of the museum of local lore, history and economy.
