Student Expectations Contract O 1:1 Student Laptop Contract 6-8 O Parents and Students must attend a distribution meeting once during their child’s middle school experience. O Laptop remains the property of Holderness School District, therefore, there is no assumption of privacy. Laptops can be inspected at any time during the school year.

Continued O Students are expected to have their laptop, charger and case for school each day and fully charged. O Educational software will be provided by the school. The software/apps originally installed must remain on the laptop at all times. O Student laptops are to be used by the student it is assigned to only. Laptops are not to be loaned, borrowed or shared by others.

Care & Responsibility O Do not leave the laptop in a vehicle or location that is not temperature controlled. O Keep laptop away from food and drink O Do not apply any permanent marks, decorations, stickers, or make modifications to the laptop O Never leave your laptop unattended O YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE

Contract Violations O Contract violations, negligence or clear misuse of the laptop may jeopardize your individual use privileges. O In cases of intentional misuse or improper behavior could result in disciplinary action.

Review Warranty & Coverage Plan O Student laptops come with a 4 year Hardware & Accidental Damage warranty. O What is does not cover: O It does not cover neglect such as leaving outside in the rain/snow/sun etc. O It does not cover intentional damage such as throwing the laptop to the ground. O It does not cover picking off keys, the touchpad, or the screen. O Any damage to the laptop should be reported to the classroom teacher ASAP.

Lost, Stolen or Vandalized Coverage O A $20.00 nonrefundable payment will insure each family that in the event the laptop is lost, stolen or vandalized they are protected from the replacement cost. A police report must be filed for a laptop reported stolen and a copy of the report given to HCS. O The coverage cost permits the laptop to be taken home. In the event, the unit is not insured the laptop must remain at school for student use.

Web2School Student Username & Password O Students will be receiving their username and password permitting them access to web2school and the ability to view their grades. O Username and passwords are different than parents and if you would like a copy to please email Mrs. McKenney.

Distribution O There are three tables set up in the gym. O Please report to your grade level table and you will be given a copy of the student expectations. (Please take time to read over). O Please sign the form, provide the $20.00 deposit and pick up your child’s laptop, charge cord and web2school access information.
