Professionalism and ethics of Sports Massage
How should a professional sports massage professional behave and conduct themselves? You should expect your massage therapist to: Wash their hands before beginning a treatment. Give you their undivided attention. Not discuss other clients with you. Not unload their own personal problems on you. Guard against emotional involvement. Make their own decisions on how treatment should be carried out. Wear a white coat or uniform. Carry out Doctors instructions to the letter. Not treat you if you are being treated by someone else - without their permission. Keep up to date records.
