What types of math problems will be on the test?
4
GradeCategoryPercentage 8 Expressions and Equations 30 Functions 25 Geometry`27 Statistics & Probability and The Number System 18 Reporting Categories for FSA 2016 Mathematics
5
How much time do we have to take the test?
6
Duration of the Test Sessions 3 Minutes per session 60 Days 2
7
What type of items will be on the test?
8
Approximate Range for Number of Items on Test GradeNumber of Items 8 62-66 Computer- Based Test Percent of Technology- Enhanced items 25-50
9
What are technology- enhanced items?
10
Technology-enhanced Technology-enhanced items are computer-delivered items that require students to interact with test content to select, construct, and/or support their answers.

Multiselect items are worth one point. Multiselect items are worth one point. Multiselect items do not have partial credit. Multiselect items do not have partial credit. “Select all” from either 5, 6, or 7 responses to choose all correct answers. “Select all” from either 5, 6, or 7 responses to choose all correct answers. Read all responses Read all responses REMEMBER: Select ALL correct answers to receive credit for the item.
18
PERCENT – no percent key so all percent must be written as decimals or fractions Use fractions or decimals for probability IN NUMERIC KEYPAD The negative sign is not a subtraction sign, since if it was there would be an addition sign EQUATION, EXPRESSION Make sure that the answer is in the correct format DOUBLE EQUAL SIGN IS NOT ACCEPTED – do not show work on EQ items
19
The ARROW KEY can be hard to use. Make sure you practice using the arrow for functionality. DELETE KEY is not an “undo” key RAY direction is important
20
Answers can only be in words, no mathematical symbols REMEMBER: Simple is BETTER
21
Can we use calculators?
23
FSA Calculator Click the [Calculator] button to open the on-screen calculator [Ctrl] + [G] (via Global Menu) Keyboard Shortcut Global Menu
24
What is on the reference sheet?
25
Reference Sheet Click the Formula button to view applicable reference sheets for assessments for which they are provided. Reference sheets will be available as online references (in a pop-up window). The reference sheet is one-sided. Conversions within systems of measures are given.

We know : Rational numbers can be expressed as fractions, or as ratios of two integers Decimals that terminate or eventually repeat can be represented by fractions, so they are rational. Decimal expansions that are infinite and do not repeat cannot be represented by fractions and are irrational.
33
3.2 is a rational number
34
0.45 is a rational number
37
Square roots of numbers that are not perfect squares are irrational.
38
Select All That Apply
