Don’t write a book about something I would benefit from researching from on the Internet, which has a variety of sources... so why wouldn’t potential buyers do the same? The self-help genre is over-published and has to compete with the Internet.

17. SUMMARY I want authors that will give me a solid backlist with original ideas and material with a new angle, so I have a lot of successful reissues for my company and my reputation. If I’m going to Google to find the information, I don’t want to publish that book on my list because it won’t sell.
