2 Objectives At the end of this presentation, you will be able to:

3 Identify the most common controls on an oscilloscope and briefly describe the purpose of each. Set up and display a signal trace on an oscilloscope screen. Use an oscilloscope to measure the amplitude of a signal. Use an oscilloscope to measure the period of a signal, and from the period derive the frequency of the signal. Use a dual trace oscilloscope to compare the frequency and amplitude of two signals.
