5. The Metric System It is EASY! Uses meters instead of inches, feet, yards or miles. Based on the unit of 10 (not like: 12 inches=1 foot, 3 feet= 1 yd). 10 millimeter= 1 centimeter

6. How do I read a ruler in centimeters? Each little line represents 1 millimeter (mm) The bigger lines represent 1 centimeter (cm). Make sure you are using the correct side of the ruler

7. Let’s look at some basic conversions: 1 m = 100 cm 10 mm= 1 cm
