3. Advantages Brings facilitators and participants to real-time environment without have geographic barriers. Direct interaction, skill practice and instant feedback. Just in time training easily implemented.

4. Advantages Tele-presence promotes cohesion in the class. Pacing events promotes discipline in learning and helps participants learn to prioritize.

5. Disadvantages Synchronous learning is dependant on technology. Users need to have knowledge on the technology being used. Participants must designate time to be in virtual classroom. Not as convenient as asynchronous learning environment

6. Disadvantages The incorporation of video streaming takes up bandwidth. Some participants may not overcome the need to be in a true classroom and feel learning is not as effective in virtual classroom.

7. Strategies in Facilitation Preparation Be a good host Welcome each participant Use first names Discuss potential distractions Continue assessment of mood and participation with questions and promotion of emoticons. Solicit response from all participants to make everyone feel included.
