Luke 2.25-38 A:Consolation, v25 B:Salvation, v30 “...it is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. Luke 2.25-38 A:Consolation, v25 B:Salvation, v30 C:Redemption, v38 : the Hope (Prophecies of Christ’s birth #5) “...we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place.” (Luke 24.21) ‘The idea that God, if there is a force of Love and Logic in the universe, that it would seek to explain itself is amazing enough. That it would seek to explain itself by becoming a child born in poverty... and straw, a child, I just thought, "Wow!" Just the poetry… I saw the genius of picking a particular point in time and deciding to turn on this… Love needs to find a form...love has to become an action or something concrete. It would have to happen. There must be an incarnation. Love must be made flesh.’
