3 Lots of the strawberries you can buy in the grocery store are actually grown in California & Mexico. What are food miles? When strawberries come to you from that far, they have to travel on trucks, trains and planes before they make it to your table. Think about how your food travels!

4 When you eat food that is grown near to where you live, it travels fewer “food miles,” which means less energy is spent on those trucks, trains and planes!
