3 It is a powerful learning and teaching approach to promote self-directed learning. It helps pupils to integrate generic skills, knowledge and values in the learning of GS.

4 Unlike the classroom teaching, pupils are active constructors of knowledge. Pupils have to raise questions, finds their own answers and look for the necessary information. It is not necessary to seek for right answer in some situations, but rather seeking appropriate solutions to problems. It encourages collaborative learning.
