Consultation workshops 10 events in all 8 health regions Widest range of potential user community targeted 500 participants registered to attend Small focus-group style discussion with facilitator and scribe

What was learnt from the consultation exercise? (1) Enthusiasm about having better data Frustrated about the gaps in data and the lack of joined up approaches No group has already done the necessary work

What was learnt from the consultation exercise? (2) Index should encompass a wide definition of health, and be presented as separate domains Subsets of indicators for key groups such as children or older people Single national number might be useful But also analyses to be available at local level to support action.
