The Reading Crew Session 1

2 What is ‘The Reading Crew’? The Reading Crew are older boys and girls who use their own reading skills to help younger pupils improve their reading.

3 What is the Reading Crew? Reading Crew give up a bit of their time - about 10 minutes, 3 times a week, to help a younger reading ‘partner’. The partner enjoys the individual attention and support – and gets much better at reading. This is because The Reading Crew are trained and know how to help their partner improve their reading.

9 What do good readers do? 6) Read in phrases so it sounds like talking Once upon a time, there was a lonely house in a dark, dark forest
