JUST KEEP BUILDING

What We’ve Heard Week 1 – Foundation: an underlying base or support – “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (I Cor. 3:11) Week 2 – Time of Being with God prepares us to Go and Do – Being helps us to become others focused

What We’ve Heard Week 3 – We are God’s living stones that He is using to build His kingdom on earth (1 Peter 2:1-12)

What We’ve Heard Week 4 – God comes alongside us, calls attention to things, and invites us to change the direction we’re going – It is the kindness of God that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4) Week 5 – It is important that our reference point is God – Don’t rely on just the visible data, but also on the Spiritual data which may not always be seen

What We’ve Heard Week 6 – God is constantly calling us to new opportunities (walk through new doors), but we often carry things with us (the pole) that prevent us from going through the doorway. – God looks to progress over perfection

What We’ve Heard Week 7 – The Enemy wants us to build on foundations other than Christ – To avoid these second homes we need to TRUST that God is who He says He is Week 8 – Believe In…Believe…Act! – Confidence in Christ will allow Him to use us as Living Stones, no matter how the Enemy tries to stop us

Matthew 7:24-27 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

How Shiloh Hears from God Scripture “Being” with God Prayers (asking, then giving space to respond)

"Lately, when I've asked God to speak to me, the Holy Spirit has sometimes put an image or thought in my mind, and when I ask Him what I need to know about it, He tends to clarify with another image or a sentence that carries both a mysterious sense of truth and a clear biblical basis."

“The upshot is a combination of learning to think the way God wants me to and having a peace about something. The first part comes from Romans 12:1-2, specifically “be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is…” (kind of like hearing His voice?) The second part is more fickle, and I wouldn’t just rely on it alone, but in combination with (scripture/prayer) and the item above, I often feel a peace about things (usually big things) and feel that is God speaking to me. Alternatively, I sometimes don’t have a peace and feel that is God speaking.”

Going Forward… Practice recognizing God’s voice (don’t put Him in a box!) Ask God what He is saying to you about this series (or any circumstance in life) and put it into practice
