Project Requirements Design a piece of furniture (either a chair, table, or bench). Research furniture design for ideas, past and present Print out 3-5 furniture designs that inspire you. Draw rough sketches of multiple ideas. Once you come up with a basic concept, draw the piece of furniture design in 4 ways: front side, top, and in 2-point perspective, including dimensions. Include notes on the side such as materials, special features, etc. Only upon approval can you start building your design in Solid Works. Extra credit options 1.Design additional pieces/accessories that coordinate with your main design, such as side table, sculpture, or lamp. 2.Design a textile/ pattern in Photoshop to give the surface of your Solid Works design a new appearance. 3.Build an actual 3-D prototype of your design. 4.Animate functions of the furniture (such as folding, expanding, etc.)
