Japanese restaurants can satisfy visitors with different tastes and abilities. Yes, and they look in different ways: from the window in the wall where the noodles are sold up to the heavenly gourmet restaurants retey.

Retey and kaiseki. Institutions, causing awe, with manicured courtyards and spacious and elegant rooms, termed retey represent the top of the Japanese culinary art. Re-reriya. Re-reriya (it is a restaurant in Kyoto-style) – it can be called as kaiseki restaurant, because Kyoto was just a place where kaiseki reached perfection.

Sedzin-reriya. Sedzin-reriya also appeared in Kyoto, in the kitchens of Zen Buddhist monasteries in the city. Vegetarian dishes are served in the lacquer wares in separate rooms. Ippin-reriya and idzakaya (almost the same thing) – is a more refined version of the Japanese home cooks. On their shelves are exposed dishes with canned treats.

Aka-tetin, or restaurant with a red lantern -got its name from the hanging over the doors a mottled canopy. They have a menu with names of dishes that are written on sheets of paper attached to the wall, or on a blackboard.

There are a lot of Eating sushi, lapshovye snack, kissaten, cafes and bars. Many Japanese restaurants specialize i n one definite dish, such as tempura, tonkatsu or shabu-shabu. Restaurants eseku (western food) is a modest institution where are treated such dishes as furai ebi (fried shrimp) and korokke (croquettes).
