3   Find Common Denominator  Subtract first number from second number Subtracting Fraction Review

4   Multiply the two top numbers  The top numbers in a fraction are referred to as the numerator Multiply Fractions

5   Multiply the bottom numbers  The bottom numbers are referred to as the denominators Multiply Fractions

6   Now you can multiply any numbers  Samples will make multiplying easier  Try  ½ x ¾  5/8 x 65/23 Multiply Fractions

7   Turn the second fraction upside down  Upside down fractions are called the reciprocal Dividing Fractions

8   Multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal  Multiplying fractions is needed to divide fractions! Divide Fractions

9   Simplify fraction  Examples  4/8=1/2  200/100=2 Divide Fractions

10   Again, practice makes perfect  Try to divide these numbers  3 / (2/3)  (4/10 ) / (30/34)  You are now a master divider  Master of (Dividing) Practice
