3. Area of Focus My Area of Focus is to determine the cause of behavioral problem in my three year old student.

4. VARIABLES: I will use the resources I obtain to improve my classroom management in which every student will be able to feel safe and to be able to learn in the environment they will be in for the six hours they are there. I will implement the resources into my curriculum to help improve my class.

5. Research Questions  How can I adapt a demanding curriculum to better meet the specific needs of the behavior problem child and the rest of the class?  How can I get parental support from my parents in this situation?

6. INTERVENTION  Functional Analysis  BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan  Strategies  Parent Involvement

7. POPULATION The population I will be involved with is that of a classroom that will consist of me and my teacher, 13 boys and 8 girls. All students range from ages 3 to 5 years of age.

8. Ethical Considerations All students are unique and special and will be treated fairly and in the same manner. No child will be single out. Parents will be notified before anything is done in the class. Parents will have the right to not want his/her child videoed of interview. In such case, all parents will have to sign a permission slip of approval.

9. TIMELINE Phase 1: Fall- I will obtain my area of focus, establish my research questions, interviews. I will conduct my 1 st home visit & parent conference. Phase 2: Spring- I will continue collecting data if needed along with my 2 nd home visit & 2 nd parent conference. Phase 3: End of school year- Review all material and document it in file.

10. State of Resources To enact on my plan, I will need resources like the computer to be able to gather information on the focus problem. I will also make sure I, along with my students will have journals so that they will be able to keep obtain information.

11. Data Collection The data collection I will use to help keep track of all activities are:  Anecdotal records  Observations  Interviews  Journals  Video cameras/recorders
