1
An ice cream parlor, everyone loves ice cream especially on hot days, or by the beach. We’ll have tons of different flavored ice cream, different kinds of cones, and lots of candy and sweets. Many different topping too, and we’ll shape ice cream into different things by request.
2
Motivation Well, I do like ice cream, and it sounds like something fun to do. Scooping ice cream into cone, feeling the breeze every time you open the container.
3
Co-workers Since no one in this room wants to work with me, I guess that means they are all my competitors. Ice cream scooping isn’t too hard, I could just hire some kids fresh from college. Hopefully sanitary, nice, and won’t eat the ice cream. Probably female, you can’t trust a guy with ice cream. Has to be skinny, fat is suspicious.
4
Probably around the beach, lots of young people go to the beach during summer, and young people don’t worry about what they eat. Then again not a lot of fat people who overeat go to the beach, because they are insecure.
5
Business Hours Mon – Sat : 11:00am – 9:00pm Sun : 12:00pm – 5:00pm
6
Target Audience My target audience will probably be teenagers and kids, because every kid loves ice cream and candy, while some teens eat whatever because of their metabolism. Not too many adults will come, mostly the female because they want to watch what they eat.
7
Are company wants to be one of the best ice cream parlors around, to end the ice cream needs of children and teens. To be the place for comfort food, whenever you are stressed out, like in a relationship. A place to relax and love. Also make a lot of money. Company’s Vision
8
H OW DID YOU DETERMINE YOU TARGET AUDIENCE ? Because teens and younger kids are usually more energetic than adults, and most don’t care what they eat because of their metabolism compared to an adults. Fat people eat ice cream anytime, any day, and anywhere.
9
What is Your Short Term Goal? To make a lot of money, and have a successful business.
10
What Are Your Long Term Goals? The long term goal is to be very successful, but also make teens and children happy with ice cream, a place they can go for peace and quiet. Maybe I’ll even have some books available, but I’ll have to find some way to keep them clean, maybe a cover and all pages.
11
I’ll probably hire 4 – 6 employees, because I don’t want one to work by their selves.
12
What Positions Will Those Employees Hold? There will be four employees each day. One takes care of the cash register, another scoops the ice cream, and advance items go to two others.
13
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CONFLICT? You don’t like being nice? Fired, fired, and fired.
14
No need for advertisements, fat people sense ice cream. Maybe we’ll put posters up around the area.
15
You can wear anything, but to know you’re an employee you’ll have to duct tape a ice cream cone to you.
16
I shall use my ice cream parlor as a home, and my employees only have to walk as far as they live.
17
W HAT IS YOUR OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE FIRST YEAR ? 60,000 maybe 70,000 I guess, I’m terrible at math that’s why I’m in academic.
18
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MOST EXPENSIVE OVERHEAD COST? Probably ice cream, candy, and toppings because I’m running a ice cream parlor after all. Maybe the electric bill to keep ice cream cool.
19
What enhanced or latest technological tools will you utilize? I wouldn’t say advanced, but a digital soda machine inside, and a nice T.V. playing the news. Ice cream scoopers are pretty revolutionary, and maybe revolving doors for the bathroom.
20
What is your exit plan? I don’t plan to stop it, but pass it on to my kin to last for generation. Until there is that one kid who is greedy, and decides to sell it.
21
If I ever start a ice cream business, I want it to be unique and different than others, and hope that I can pass it down through the generations. A place that people like to go to whenever they feel like it.
