23. PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR FUTURE In my opinion protecting the environment is something that everyone should do. There is no doubt that if we don’t help to preserve our world, we are going to finish it off. I’m concerned about the high damage which our planet is suffering. The smoke and the exhaust fumes are damaging the ozone layer and global warming is becoming a problem. Furthermore, the pollution is bad for us too. The best solutions for these problems of contamination are recycling the litter, wasting less water, as well as using renewable energies and reducing the consumption of energy. In conclusion, protecting the environment is an important fact in which all the people must play their part. Rosa (Alcaraz, Spain)

43. IMPROVEMENT OF THE SCHOOL SITUATION (School agenda) Registration in the Project “School Agenda 21”  the topic for this year has been WATER. Are the electric appliances turned off or on stand-by when not used? Are lights on in places with good lighting? What kind of energy is used for the heating system and how much is spent? Are there any leaks in the toilets…? Do students use the right type of clothes when in class?
