Overview Pilot Project (1 year) Approximately $100,000 Hurst-Euless-Bedford City Limits Including CentrePort & Hurst/Bell TRE Stations Demand-Response Service Clients are Transportation Disadvantaged Population Not Currently Served No Duplication of Service Opportunity to Coordinate

Funding United Way $35,000 Full Cost of Social Service Trips Local Match for Employment Related Trips Tarrant County Workforce $24,000 Local Match for Employment Related Trips Full Cost of Other Trips NCTCOG $50,000 Job Access/Reverse Commute Funds Reimburse 50% of Employment Related Trips

Provider American Red Cross – Chisholm Trail Currently provides non-emergency medical transportation through it’s WHEELS program Is the contracted provider for the Northeast Transportation Service (NETS) [5307] Also is the provider for the Tarrant County Transportation Service (TCTS) [5310] HEB Transit service will add additional vehicle to ARC fleet and all services will have opportunity to coordinate vehicle sharing

Barriers/Constraints Differing Client Needs The needs of the clients and each agency’s primary concerns regarding transportation differ Continued Funding Searching for money to keep pilot projects from ending due to their own success is a continuous effort from day one Active Involvement of Participants Keeping all of the participating entities engaged in discussions and decision making can be difficult Timeline Due to Board schedules and procurement methods, the time to implementation can be long
